The Vision
Fairfax Community Church set out to create a modern, less traditional worship space that prioritized openness, connection, and strong architectural identity. The goal was to foster community engagement while maintaining functionality across various ministry and event uses.
The Approach
The project was guided by a vision of openness, connection, and long-term flexibility. The design supported a wide range of uses while creating a welcoming environment for worship and community.
Inside, flexible spaces including multipurpose rooms, temporary offices, and a youth worship center support long-term growth.
Zoe’s Role
Zoe joined the project to streamline coordination between the church, the design team, and construction partners. We helped clarify consultant scopes, resolve conflicting priorities, and establish consistent communication across teams, minimizing delays and change orders. Our involvement created a smoother path from planning to execution and protected the integrity of the church’s vision during construction.
The Result
Fairfax Community Church now worships in a space that is modern, welcoming, and mission-driven. The building balances function and warmth while supporting a variety of uses. With Zoe’s involvement, construction progressed with fewer disruptions and stronger alignment between the church, design team, and contractors. The result is a finished space that reflects the original vision with clarity and purpose.
